So this weekend I when at the salon I ended up getting my hair dyed red, looks like I will have to change in icon. I keep catching my reflection in the windows and it takes a second for me to realize it is me :)

Back to work.

So for atleast the next week my life is going to be hectic. Yesterday a member of my team was let go due to performance issue, which means we are now short handed. We have a person in line to take is spot, but said person on vacation until the start of August, and then will have to be trained, so the next few weeks are going to be busy, hectic, and just plain stressful. I have a great boss that it willing to step in and help, so maybe it won't be as difficult and I am imagining it.

Done venting my fretting, and now I should get back to work.

Just thought that I would let people know that I am still around. I haven't been really reading or posting to any of my blogs recently. I am hoping that I will start catching up and posting more often.

Live has been going good. My training for the Breast Cancer 3-day is coming along well. Work has been keeping me busy, and most of my free time is spent reading or playing WoW.

So my training is going slowly, but I am walking and making progress.

Not only do am I training but now I need to start and focus on my funding raising, so here is the donation widget:

Help me reach my goal for the Seattle Breast Cancer 3-Day!

I know that for many donating money is not a option, so I have been looking into other fund raising options and found one where in which writing reviews of local business helps me fund raise. Once registered at
http://www.insiderpages.com/fundraisers/Breast-Cancer-3-Day-M-Olson-0906, fundraiser participants can conveniently
write reviews on their favorite local business from work or home, day or night, throughout the fundraising period. For each qualifying review written between 06/01/09-06/23/09, Insider Pages will make a donation toward my fundraising goal.

For those that I live close to me I am also collecting used printer cartridges (inkjet and laser) and used cell phones to be recycled. Just let me know I will arrange a time to pick them up.

Now I should get back to work.

So I was planning on posting yesterday, but then was to tired to boot up the laptop. Walked 3 miles on my treadmill, at a 20 minute mile pace. I varied the incline as follows: 0.5 mile incline 7, 0.5 mile incline 5, 1.0 mile incline 3, and 1.0 mile incline 1.5. Though the truth be told started a 7 by mistake as it was already set at 7, but it worked out.

My back doesn't hurt as much this morning as it did on Sunday morning after my Saturday walk which I am taking as a good sign. We will see what my PT says today about it.

Now I must wake up the rest of the way and make my way to work.

So this weekend my 3-day team got together and did a training walk. It was great to meet all of my team members, though I wish I would have been able to do the whole walk with them. I was able to do the first loop and complete 3.5 miles. We kept a good pace of an 18 minute mile. Though I wanted to do more I am glad that I didn't because my back by the time I got home my back was really started to hurt, and if I had continued I would have been even worse.

Slow but steady, that is how I am going to have to train.

So my training is going slowly, but steady. I am currently behind the training pace due to my back, but I am going through physical therapy for the back issues and I am making progress. I feel that I will be able okay for the actually walk in September.

Don't have much to look do much other than set-up and do a quick look and see how is here. I will do more once I have time.
